Dirt removal is in all directions
Finishing is in one direction for conditioning

Raised leather tends to get dirty and stained easily. Since the surface is not smooth, it cannot be polished, and maintenance can only be done with a brush. Therefore, it is necessary to be a little careful with it on a daily basis.
Maintainance basically involves waking up the bristles that have fallen asleep during use and brushing off the dirt in between the bristles. Brushes should be applied in all directions when removing dirt, but when finishing, they should be moved in one direction with the bristles in mind. In addition, brushed leather does not repel water, and water soaks right into the leather. Therefore, waterproofing and water repellent sprays for leather should be applied on a daily basis to prevent water stains.

Suede desert boots. At a quick glance, they do not look too dirty, but upon closer inspection, the tint on the back of the foot appears darkened. The rain has made the fur look fuzzy, and the shape of the shoes looks blurry.

Step 1: First, remove the shoelaces.

Remove the shoelace so that the brush can be applied to the tongue. If you neglect to do this, the dirt will stay on the tongue for a long time, and it may soak into the leather, making it impossible to remove.

Step 2: Insert shoe tree

Insert a shoe tree to prevent the shoes from losing their shape. Be sure to use a shoe tree that fits the shape of the shoe. Be careful not to use a shoe tree that is too large, as it may stretch the leather.

Step 3: Brushing to remove dirt

Use a brush to remove dirt. For the purpose of removing dirt, apply from all directions without considering the direction of the bristles in particular. Move the brush in such a way as to wake up the sleeping bristles and scrub out the dirt.

Step 4: For stubborn stains, use a raw rubber brush.

Scrub off stuck-on stains with suede rubber. If the rubber becomes dirty, change the location of the rubber. You can apply the rubber hard, but it will leave marks on the surface, so keep an eye on the balance between the rubber and the surrounding area.

Step 5: Waterproof and stain-proof with waterproof spray

After the entire stain is removed, apply a waterproof spray for leather. Unlike leather with a smooth surface, raised leather can easily be soaked with water. Therefore, waterproofing spray is highly recommended.

Step 6: Finally, trim the hairline

After the waterproofing spray has dried, brush the bristles again. When brushing, be sure to brush the fine details, such as the seams.

Step 7. finish!

Brushed leather looks beautiful just by brushing the bristles. To prevent stains from depositing on the leather, be sure to brush frequently and apply waterproof spray.
