Aizome is a dyeing process that uses the indigo plant, a member of the tapeworm family. Using soft sheepskin, the process of hand-dyeing and dipping in a barrel of indigo dye was repeated three times to produce the elegant indigo dye “Japan Blue,” a traditional Japanese color. Since it is hand-dyed, the pattern and coloring are different for each one. This is the most popular type of wallet, the L-shaped zipper type.
