Shirasagi Leather is made from high quality kipskin, tanned in Himeji, Hyogo, one of Japan's leading leather producing areas. The raw kipskin is tanned with a combination of tannin and chrome to create a wrinkle-free, fiber-filled base, and the surface is glazed with Italian chemicals for a natural antique finish. The inside is made of waxed leather, creating a beautiful combination.

This compact box-type coin case has a large opening so that coins can be easily seen and taken out. There is a pocket on the inside to store folded bills. There are also two card slots on the outside.

Product Features

Although compact, this box-type coin purse has a large opening that makes it easy to see and remove coins.

The inside pocket can be used to store folded banknotes. There are also two card slots on the outside.

The leather is tanned in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, a major center of the leather industry in Japan.
The tanneries in the area boast a long history and advanced technology that is second to none in Europe, the home of leather, and Sirasagi leather is made at a tannery that specializes in firm and firm tanning.
After the raw hides are tanned in Japan with tannin and chrome, a combination of tannin and chrome tanning is used to create a base with tight fibers and wrinkle resistance. The unique surface irregularity and transparency of the aniline finish give it an unmistakable sense of luxury.
Compared to hand antiquing, which is considered difficult to tone and difficult to reproduce colors, the highly precise uniformity and deep evenness of the special antiquing process is the result of the advanced technical skills of Japanese tanners.
(*The unevenness of each color varies according to the color, because the shading of the color varies depending on the color, and the unevenness is not intentional.)
