We use kip leather, sourced from calves aged between 6 months and 2 years. Characterized by its fine grain and moist, smooth texture, it is thinner than adult cowhide yet boasts dense fibers and remarkable strength. It molds to your hand with use, allowing you to enjoy its beautiful aging process over time. This leather is treated with sumi-zome, a traditional Japanese dyeing technique. The unique, deep black achieved with sumi ink stands apart from plain black, creating a subtle, elegant expression.
